The crowd is hype orchestra and artists are ready Urban Classic is ready MR Atiba’s ready, question is though Atibians are you???
Line up is crazy MS Dynamite, Devlin, Skepta and the Ndubz general Fazer himself were all poised to perform, the hype had been built up for the last couple weeks, as these living legends were poised to make and appearance in Walthamstow.
To begin the show, they played a short video on the big screen, showing talents coming to the stage. With them doing background checks and speaking about where they musically are now and how excited they were to perform at urban classic. As each artist appears on screen the crowd goes wild as all there pent up anticipation, from the weeks leading up is now coming to life. Even if only being in TV form for the moment.
As the video finishes entering the stage is our host for the evening Claira Hermet who starts announcing the forthcoming artists again getting wild reactions from the crowd, as she announces each general by name, the crowd go mad for there favourites she then goes onto introduce Bigga Fish Legend DJ Policy who gets all of us including me pumping by playing old school tunes which makes us jump, Twist and drop. After a few more tunes, he gives a big introduction to the comedian they call Jazzy who from the sound of his name gets crowd love, he runs out soaking it all in and straight away gets the crowd jumping, bubbly and hype DJ Policy mixed the tunes whilst Jazzy sang along to it he first started by hosting a funky set.
Jazzy-Ollie Ollie Ollie, Crowd- Oi Oi Oi
Jazzy- I want to see the migraine skank, Crowd – Show me how you get down
Jazzy then went on to host a set of R and B classics which had us all singing, he then went into a full list of favourites in terms of bashment which made me want to drop my notepad jump into the crowd and find a lady to whine on but I had a job to do.
WHYYYY!!!
One tune that made us all come alive, the one I had to drop my notepad for was forward rhythm (POW) which after so many years still gains the respect it first came in with.
DJ Policy and Jazzy were great together; they kept our bodies moving simultaneously which even for only five minutes made us all feel together as if part of a big team. They made the start of the show live up to the hype and all we could do now as they left the stage is ask ourselves are we in for an even bigger treat???
Claira are host appears back on stage to welcome the BBC Orchestra conductor Jules Buckley, who had a team of violinist, singers and various other musical instruments. With Jules taking lead they went into a full blown melody of sounds, five minutes into the orchestras introduction Fazer the NDubz General came out looking dapper in a purple suit, white shirt, black trousers and white shoes accompanied by the orchestra he done his song Play with fire to which the crowd showed there appreciation.
Straight after no introduction needed, Skepta bolds out on to the stage, with a swagger that one who has a voice to influence many should have the song he chose to do was named your taking to long.
At this point it seemed like there weren’t no introductions needed for any of the artists because as soon as Skepta left Ms Dynamite stepped on instantly, taking a hold of our attention where she went on to perform her track
I’m Ms Dy-na-mi-tee I stay blowin’ up your stereo I’m just Ms Dy-na-mi-tee Everybody gotta hear me yo Hear me bussin’ on da radio Now feel my flow you get me though I’m Ms Dy-na-mi-tee See me bouncin’ in da video And I come to rock da show I’m Ms Dy-na-mi-tee Everybody lose control Let my vibe touch your soul*
A song which everyone heard growing up in the playgrounds and at school so shouldn’t and wouldn’t, be named as it’s such a classic just vibes to the chorus written.
Letting Ms Dynamite step of first…Devlin comes rushing out instantly bigging up the crowd by asking what’s going on Walthamstow? To which the crowd gave him a fully energised reception. Devlin energy was amazing whilst the Orchestra was blazing he then performed his much loved track named Runaway. This had the crowd swaying.
VERY SORRY FOR THIS INTERUPPTION, THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ATIBIANS!!!
DEAR ATIBIANS!!!
Fazer came back on stage to announce that N Dubz have not split up, as he had to clear some rumours which had come of twitter.
NOW BACK TO URBAN CLASSIC!!!
The array of artist repeated themselves in firstly the order of Fazer, performing his track named Best Behaviour and also Skepta running out and doing his two singles BBK and we need some more gyals in here.
STOP!!!!
For about two minutes what seemed to be a strange man to the crowd but I knew to be Prokoviev held our attention on stage by doing nothing…and when I mean nothing I mean nothing, he stood dressed in all white for a bit whilst most wondered what he was doing there.
Suddenly the Orchestra came to life soothing out Romeo and Juliet, Prokoviev also came to life and started body popping on stage, now the crowd realising that he was a body popper started to show there appreciation in short burst of screams, as his talent started to take over the stage and overwhelm the very satisfied crowd.
Claira comes back out to introduce Devlin who absolutely murk’s the stage, with and F64 (meaning 64 straight lyrical bars acapella) after what he did even for that little bit I think we should of all went into two minute of quiet reflection and soak in what he said.
UNFORTUNATULY AND FORTUNATLYEY
He didn’t give us time to reflect as he went straight into his song named London City.
As he came of stage again given no introduction, bowling on stage again to screams was the NDUBZ general Fazer himself, who came on to do a song named Englishman in NY which I must say was very swarve he done it as a duet with a singer named ED Drewett.
We then went into two more performances by Skepta performing Rescue me and Ms Dynamite single Neva soft, both which were accompanied by the orchestra.
AM SORRY PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ATIBIANS!!!
How you doing??? Ms Dynamite??? Still see that you’re looking good!!!
Signed

BACK TO URBAN CLASSIC!!
Jules Buckley leader of the orchestra then went into doing a little bit of hosting, where he recapped on the previous acts that we had seen, Ms Dynamite, Devlin, Skepta and Fazer who’s name he called out three times, as he seemed to be quite a crowd favourite and screams went up every time he was called.
Fazer then came bowling out and instantly you noticed his change of clothes, where he changed from his smarter look into an urban apparel, he then went into his song named killer, which he hyped up by jumping up and down on stage and really getting into it.
Straight after Ms Dynamite came out again to perform her song wile out which made us in the crowd wile out.
When Claira came back on to host she made each side of the crowd individually say wile out E.G Left-Wile Right-Out.
SPECIAL GUEST!!!! DRUM ROLLS PLEASE!!!
After Claira finished hosting Devlin continued the no introduction needed and came out to start rapping and ended up announcing Ed Sheeran as the special guest at the mere mention of his name people went wild and I saw some in the crowd, look like they wanted to visibly faint together Ed Sheeran and Devlin joined forces to perform there hit single Watchtower.
Claira then came back out to thank all the companies who had been involved in putting together the show; she also gave a big thank you to Waltham Forest after she finished hosting.
Jules Buckley the orchestra Leader then took the mike to go on to thank all the artists, who had come out. Including his orchestra and then went on to introduce what I thought and am sure many in the crowd thought to be the last tune of the evening.
A decipher of all the artists, over Fazer beat Killer, with the Orchestra playing first Fazer coming out, then Devlin then fireworks went up in the air, which amplified the atmosphere, Skepta came out, Ms Dynamite came out, they were all flowing nicely, we were all getting hyped the crowd were going wild, I also looked around and saw Colin smile.
STOP!!!
*We need some more gyals in here*
Skepta had taken the mike, now this was the real end of the show I was loving his message of needing more gyals in here even though I feel he should change here to everywhere, he started bubbling of with shorty then went on to introduce Frisco then JME and as we were all bubbling alongside Jammer came running out to complete the five some it had me the crowd Atibians all over and those reading this like a Ms Dynamite record
WILEING OUT!!!!
