What were you doing before DV8?

I was unemployed and searching for a path to take.

What are you doing now?

After completing my DV8 course, I went to University to do a degree in IT; soon after I was approached by DV8′s ITS Manager and offered a Job with DV8.

How did DV8 help achieve your Goals?

DV8 has helped me gain confidence and helped me develop my professional skills and gain valuable experience in a wonderful career.

What were you doing before DV8?

Before I went on the DV8 course The Complete Music Industry Project, I was caught up not knowing what I wanted to do. I always have had a passion for music so when I saw the flyer for the course at Connexions I knew that I would benefit from the experience and I wanted to do something to benefit my future.

What are you doing now?

Now after doing the course and the DV8 work placement scheme I’m in a great job at MySpace with the best people and I’m set; basically all thanks to DV8. I have knowledge on event co-ordination and had so many jokes along the way! All I must say about the courses provided by DV8 is that you’ve got to be in it for real and want to do it. If you put into it you get a lot out so make sure you’re up for it!

How did DV8 help you achieve your goals?

DV8 gave me confidence in myself to achieve. I made new friends, met all sorts of people and enjoyed myself whilst learning. I always used to say there’s nothing for teens from 16-18 to do around London but DV8 took up the challenge and now provide a number of courses for us.

 

Jemma Stephens

What were you doing before DV8?

I was working in a part time bar job and not doing a lot really!

What are you doing now?

After completing the Magazine Journalism course with Dv8 training, I went on to work for Street Press PR and Eastside Records as an online press officer. I then moved on to work for an experiential marketing company as an account executive; managing high profile promotional campaigns.

How did DV8 help you achieve your goals?

Dv8 taught me to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, which has been a massive help in my job roles since. I learned many life skills throughout the course as well as making great friends. I would definitely recommend this course as it opens doors and opportunities for success.

 

Durell Crawford

What were you doing before DV8?

I was on a few music workshops but they didn’t take me to what I wanted to do in the long run.

What are you doing now?

I am now at university studying music business and production.

How did DV8 help you achieve your goals?

The DV8 Music Production and Business Course helped me to be a better business man, a better artist / producer and opened a lot of doors that are useful to me now and in the future.

What were you doing before DV8?

I knew I wanted to work in music but didn’t know how to go about it.

What are you doing now?

After leaving DV8 I did a degree in Commercial Music at Westminster. After that I started work at MusicWorld Management as an International PM Assistant, working with Kelly Rowland and Beyonce.

How did DV8 help you achieve your goals?

Dv8 worked with me on a one to one basis, helping me outline what I wanted to do and how to go about it. They helped me get a job in the industry and monitored my progress for over a year even after the course was finished! They gave me valuable advice and links to people that I would have never been able to get in touch with if I hadn’t come from Dv8.
