Akua Afram (Work Placement Manager)
Akua is the DV8 Work Placement Co-ordinator for the DV8 Apprenticeships with a diverse background in the music industry working for heavyweight organisations such as; Blue Mountain Music Publishing, PRS for Music, event management with household brands and teaching. As well as music curation for international events i.e. Ghana Fashion Design Week and Vodafone Ghana.

Amanda Appiah started working with  with Dv8 as the Apprenticeship employer engagement assistant.  After graduating with a degree in psychology Amanda is now the DV8 marketing and Recruitment Officer.

Anthony Bunbury (Lead Tutor – Music Production & Business L1)
Behind the gentle smile is amongst the most creative of musical minds in the country. Anthony aka Rowntree is a young diverse producer and multi instrumentalist from Hackney, London England who is a qualified Music teacher having earning a Ba Hons and PGCE in this field. Enabling him to teach students from Primary to university. Outside of education Rowntree has worked with many familiar faces in the UK such as rap artist Wretch 32, Tinchy Stryder, grime group Boy Better Know, and had his music featured on the Uks top TV and Radio stations .

Boyowa has a short portfolio of experiences/disciplines acquired over the years and can gladly say that he has enjoyed every one of them passionately.
Boyowa doesn’t get involved in any relationships that don’t include, Music, Creativity, Design, Teaching and Mentoring. He has worked with some of the worlds biggest recording stars, but is also happy in sharing his experiences with the most youngest and troubled.

Bhumeet is a Producer/rapper/songwriter and also works as DV8′s Support Tutor for Music Production & Business Level 1 and Level 2. His production experience includes work with up and coming artists and established artists such as Beenie Man, Wretch – 32 and Aswad. He has also supported acts such as K’Nan (Artist for official 2010 world cup song), Example, Wretch-32, The Wanted, Olly Murs, Lawson, Skepta, Lady Leshur and more.

Cara spent many years training as a dancer with schools including The Junior Royal Ballet and London Studio Center, before beginning a career as a Marketer in the Fashion & Beauty industries. She is now Marketing and Recruitment Officer for DV8 Academy, launching September 2014

Songwriter and founder of NO ID dance crew, Carla has toured the country competing in various national street dance competitions. Carla has written music for the likes of Dionne Broomfield, Smiler, Rui Da Silva (known for his UK no.1 smash “Touch Me”) and most recently Si Hulbert who has worked extensively on the current One Direction album

Dave Newton (Assessor)
Dave was a Punk back in the day which led to Djing in London at 19, playing most of the big Punk/Goth alternative clubs (Kit Kat/Ballroom Blitz); He then Started working for Rough Trade Distribution in 1987, got embraced by Rave culture in 1990 & then went on to make over 60 club tunes & remixes for contemporary labels. Now working for DV8 as an assessor.
Daniella Leon (Student Welfare & Guidance Support Officer)
Daniella has been working with young people for the past 6 years and before joining DV8 she was a Connexions Adviser. She has South American roots and lived in the South of Spain both studying and teaching English, also working with young people, and has also travelled to many other countries. She loves making a difference in the lives of students and supporting them to enjoy and develop while learning at DV8.
Daniel Walker (Lead Tutor – SoundSkool)
Daniel Walker is a singer songwriter and performer of the highest calibre. He has played over 2000 live gigs as the singer/writer and founding member of the band Raiyn.
No Image Diana Igbokwe (Lead Tutor – Urban & Contemporary Dance)
Diana Igbokwe studied Dance and Theatre at Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Contemporary Dance. A versatile and dynamic dancer, choreographer and teacher, working fluidly across Hip Hop, African, Street Dance, Contemporary and Jazz and House styles.. Most recently, selected as one of 11 dance professionals to choreograph the opening ceremony for the London 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony . As a performer and choreographer, Diana has worked with artists including ESKA, Basement Jaxx, Rowdy Superst*r and Riz MC, at venues including Sadler’s Wells, Glastonbury and Latitude Festival and with the innovative urban contemporary company Uchenna Dance Company.  Diana’s teaching commitments include Mountview Academy Of Theatre and Arts and WAC Performing Arts and Media College. Embracing the opportunity to teach both children and adults, Diana finds it a great pleasure to give back to the up and coming generation.

Which then led to setting up her own event’s company showcasing unsigned and signed acts from all over the country in London and surrounding areas. Kate also has experience as a booking agent’s assistant for ITB, Artist Manager and Freelance Music Journalist for Music News.

Michelle is an established singer/songwriter that has over 20 years experience working within the music industry. Michelle’s experience spans from Artiste, Songwriter, Performance Coach, Live event organiser to Artiste development. She successfully created and developed the brand Kindred Spirit which showcased emerging and established Artistes alike on a live platform, running 3 different monthly events across London for 9 years. A dynamic success coach for 6 years, her passion is working with young adults to realise their potential and is currently resident coach for Body and Soul Charity in London, supporting people affected by HIV and AIDS. Michelle is a Visiting Lecturer at Westminster University teaching performance and style on the Commercial Music BA and has delivered multi platinum hits and number ones for Artistes such as; Artful Dodger, Liberty X, Nabiha, Beverly Knight, Tina Turner and most recently celebrated a number 1 album in both Korea and Japan with Asian Super group SHINee.

Marwan AKA Mighty Moe is an MC and DJ and former member of The Heartless Crew since 1995 to 2010. Moe has worked with SoundSkool since 2009 and also has experience in Radio, Live Performances, Touring, Singing, Songwriting and is extremely passionate about sharing his knowledge with the younger generation of musicians.

Natalie Wade, a well-regarded music professional and a Director of cutting edge arts consultancy “Small Green Shoots” championing emerging music. She has a decade of music and events experience working with partners such as UKTI, UK Music, The Brit Awards, Arts Council England, MTV, the Greater London Authority and LOCOG.

Tom Bibby aka Lucid Mover is a Producer and Rapper with over 15 years experience working as an independent artist and music industry professional. From working in the post room at major labels to managing his own independents, Tom has a broad and comprehensive knowledge of the music business. He has developed his passion for teaching over the past 7 years and is very proud to now be working with Sound Skool and DV8.
