I am one of the project managers for IAMDV8, so my presence in the production meeting on May 17th was compulsory. The meeting took place at Stratford Circus and was very constructive and well organised.
There were six people in the meeting – myself, Ryan (IAMDV8 production manager), Fusion (event tutor), Matthew (Genesis security), Gary (Stratford Circus staff) and Stuart (Stuart Howitt productions). The guys over at Stratford Circus are really nice to work with.
After the meeting, we realised that we are literally taking over the whole of Stratford Circus on the day of the event, which is amazing to hear, and it’s funny I didn’t realise how real it was until then. Maybe hearing it in details in the meeting made it more realistic.
Another amazing piece of news we found out was that we are the last people to host an event at the venue, before the building is taken over for the Olympics. How amazing is that? So we’ve literally got to run things like Usain Bolt !!!
