IAMDV8 Festival is a collaborative project that brings together the best creative talent from DV8 Training.
IAMDV8 is a creative festival celebrating the talents of Dv8 Training’s most exciting young musicians, singers, MCs, fashion designers, event managers, graphic artists and filmmakers.

Now in its third year, this collaborative project brings the creativity of the various courses under one roof. DV8 Training’s Events Management & Promotions (EMP) students will work with the students, local artists and partner organisations to showcase the best that Dv8 has to offer.

IAMDV8 will provide a unique platform to network as hundreds of like minded young people and professionals from across the creative industries come together for one evening of entertainment. With the launch of Dv8 Academy in September 2014 there couldn’t be a better time to see what we’re about.

Over the years, Dv8 Training has built a reputation for nurturing some of the brightest new talent in the creative sector. Developed by event manager Fusion in 2011, IAMDV8 has gone on to showcase emerging singers, MCs and musicians, fashion shows, open mic battles, documentary screenings, master classes, market stalls and has been headlined by the likes of Wretch 32, Angel, Devlin, Ghetts, Shola Ama, Giggs and Kele Le Roc. Building on the success of past Eastside Stories showcases and Music Potential Wembley Arena, in January 2013, IAMDV8 is set to take over Stratford Circus once again.

About The Performers:

Meridian Dan
Raised in North London, Meridian Dan, has had a passion for music throughout his life due to the strong influence from his Dad. It was in his teens that he decided to take it on himself, writing his own lyrics and rapping, slowly becoming an artist.
In the early 2000’s, Meridian Dan and his peers decided to get together and form a rap group which consisted of other UK artists such as President T, Skepta, JME, Big H, Bossman Birdie and Paper Pabs. From there, they started performing regularly on Heat FM and arguably became the best around. This success took them to Déjà Vu FM where they performed alongside other East London rappers such as Dizzee Rascal. This station played an important part in Meridian Dan’s career as it became the ultimate platform for emerging MC’s and was said to be the ‘go to’ radio station. However, in 2004 Dan decided he wanted to quit music and pursue his other main hobby; boxing. Dan was soon persuaded not to by the inspirational messages from his fans and words from his close friend President T, who told him that his talent was too good to go to waste. From that day, Meridian Dan joined a new collective called, Bloodline, which consisted of other members such as Bossman Birdie, President T, Big H, Paper Pabs and Milli Major. This group allowed him to emerge further in the underground rap scene.
