DV8 Apprenticeship Bootcamp & BBQ 2013 designed to test the new apprentice’s
In July the Dv8 launched its Apprenticeship class of 2013 with its annual boot camp, designed to test the new apprentice’s team work, communication and employability skills.
The Dv8 Apprenticeship is a one year course that introduces the Dv8 apprentices into jobs and careers in the media, events and music business.
The boot camp saw apprentices develop their group skills by working in teams to create plans and complete numerous tasks throughout the week.
The apprentices also spent time building their CVs and cover letters, and attended workshops on interview technique and professional behaviour.
Industry employers from EGA Music, Small Green Shoots, Puma, UK Music and Agenda Photography also came to put the apprentices’ skills to the test with some invaluable practice interviews and a chance to hear directly from employers what they look for in a new recruit.
After a long week of hard work the apprentices were thrown a BBQ to celebrate and a chance to network with members of the industry and other apprentices.
