This weeks artist of the week is Woodzy! He is an aspiring artist and he is also extremely talented. Read on to find out what inspires him and other great facts about him!

What inspires you to do music?

Music is my life. The first thing I do when I wake and the last thing I do before I go to bed is listen to music. My dream is to do music as a living as it’s what I involve my whole life around. I’m either listening to music, writing it or performing. I think being able to express yourself through music is a great thing. The fact someone you have never met before can hear what you’re saying and relate to how you were feeling at the time you wrote it is an amazing thing.

Which artist do you feel you connect to the most musically/lyrically?

The main artists I relate to are – Chip, Drake and Ed Sheeran. Especially Ed Sheeran as I feel everything he writes from the heart.

What is you favorite genre of music?

My favourite genre of music would have to be Hip-hop and Rap music. As well as that I also love acoustic music and I like to apply that feel to my own music. I’m open to all genres, as long as the person has talent I can listen and respect it.

What are you going to bring to I Am DV8?

I’m going to bring a performance full of energy and confidence. I hope to get the crowd singing along and liking the feel of the track, as I will be performing my debut single “Time to Shine” which will be out sometime in July.
