DV8 Apprenticeships

The Advanced Creative Apprenticeship is a level 3 program combining work based learning with classroom based learning (one day per week). Apprentices are placed within industry-specific companies, while also receiving relevant training from Dv8. The purpose of this apprenticeship is to equip young people with the real-world experience and training needed to succeed in the creative industries and to be an invaluable asset to the workplace.

Apprenticeships Available:

Creative & Digital Media:

This Apprenticeship combines a year of working in the media industry with once-a-week classroom sessions that develop the apprentice’s knowledge and understanding of the practical basics and standard work practices of the Creative & Digital Media Industry.
Taught by current media industry professionals, the framework navigates a broad spectrum of media industry practices and develops essential knowledge needed for the media workplace.

Live Events & Promotions:

Apprentices enrolled on this level 3 framework combine a year of working at events companies with once-a-week classroom sessions focused on the integral skills and work practices needed to be an events professional.

The framework develops knowledge and understanding needed for organising a wide variety of events such as; live music events, charity events, corporate product launches and even experiential marketing. With tutors who are experienced events professionals and employers ranging from boutique events organisations to festival organisers, this apprenticeship is suited to anyone looking to start a career as an events professional.

Music Business:

Apprentices who enrol onto the Music Business Apprenticeship can expect to work in the music industry while attending once-a-week classroom sessions for 12 months. The qualifications framework concentrates on skills, knowledge and industry practices that are necessary for Music Business professionals working in organisations like; record labels, artist management agencies, music publishers and distributors. With tutors who are experienced industry professionals and a range of supportive employers, the apprenticeship provides an excellent foundation for any individual attracted to a career in the business side of the music industry.
